I Know People Are going what the hell is he talking about. But I think you have to look at the silver lining. I know that Toyota Hoped for a better start in there long awaited march into Busch and Nextel cup. But I honesty believe Toyota knew what the outcome was going to be when they got into Nascar.Trucks was easy because the other manufactures Look at the craftsman trucks as a training ground for entry drivers and crewman triple A of racing if you will. So Toyota took the same approach they used it to learn about Nascar and too develop relationships that will pay div ends in the long run.

Enter Nextel cup

In 2006 Toyota Decided that they would move up to the two major leagues of racing Nextel cup and Busch. Spear headed by commercials from Darell Waltrip Interducing there 2007 line ups. You could Pretty much tell than that they were serious about landing some top notch talent. But Like most things that are new they had too start were most new things start from scratch. And until speed weeks most people thought they would come in and change the way the world of Nascar run. Nothing could of been Farther the truth. From the very be gaining cheating scandals and qualifying problems have plagued Toyota’s teams. But there have been some Bright spots for Toyota. Dave Blaney and David reuitman have both raced Pretty Decent and both Show signs of being completive. Dale Jarret the father time of racing is finally getting his number 44 Toyota in on time. There have been some real disappointments like the number 55 machine ran by Michael Waltrip but i believe they will find a driver for that car by the end of the season that will be able to get into the races. Sorry Mikey you have too much on your plate. One thing that I know about Toyota is that there not fast to make harsh decisions and they weight there options well. So my predictions for the rest of the season goes like this as they keep going back too tracks they have ran on they will gain in performance. So look forward too them too do better maybe a couple top10’s but No wins this year but next year they will be at least competive.

I love Nascar Racing and I’m a pretty die hard Dale Jr fan. But heres the problem I’m getting really sick of hearing about his contract negations. Honesty Do we really care wear he ends up as long as he keeps racing. I’m one of the people that thinks he will never come into his own without leaving the shackles of DEI. He doesen’t have to race the “3″ but theres alot of teams owners that would give therre first born to slavery too have dale jr. drive for them. So i guess what I’m saying is do we really care if dale Jr Ends up at DEI ..
In closing Jimmy can’t someone else Win one for a change…..lol

So back to the business at hand a couple of random thoughts after six weeks of Nascar.I’m going too post some of questions that have been in my toughts..

Do we really needs the top 35 rule….Who does it really help? …….The only people it really helped was teams that are established. The only problem with that is that Nascar is always talking about diversity and levels of competition. But if we are looking for a more level playing field. Get rid of the top 35 rule all it does is make it hard for new teams and under funded teams to make the race. It makes power house teams like Roush and Hendrick and gibs not put much thought into qualifying. If you need proof look at Daytonna Some of the best teams didn’t even worry about were they started. Teams now know that they don’t have too worry if they are having a bad week…..Darell Waltrip and others Have said it best “Go Fast Or Go Home”

Remember Nascar……You Want Better Racing strive for a level playing field..Quiet Helping only the power houses

If you treat the super bowl like the second best sports event in February. daytonna

If you consider the months between nov and feb a bad time of year

If you follow your drivers with near god like devotion

If you have your drivers number on your car or truck house ,camper or flag pole in your front yard.

If all your family vacations are plan around race dates.

If you named your first born after your favorite driver

If you believe that the world stop briefly February 18, 2001 If have to explain you don’t belong on this list….God Rest His Soul.

If you don’t just watch the first 10 and last 10 laps….

If Bristol, Daytonna ,Darlington,Talladega are places that you hold in high regard and if you have been there you want to go back and if you haven’t its one of your goals.

These are some of the things that make real Nascar fans. Its the people that save there hard earned money every year to take the family to there favorite track to see there favorite driver. decked out in there gear from head to toe. That’s what makes a Real fan……Here’s to a Great 2007 Season
